William Strong, MS, CCC-SLP
I have a masters degree in speech and hearing sciences (MS at Washington State University – Spokane) and a basis in psychology and linguistics (BS at University of Washington). I maintain certification through ASHA and I am licensed in the states of Idaho and Washington. I was a Certified Specialist in Psychometry for 10 years and a current Hanen Associate Member. I use SPELL-Links for language and literacy disorders. I use SCERTS and DATA model frameworks for goal planning in Autism Spectrum Disorders.
My interest in speech and language started during my first career path in Alzheimer’s Disease research and as a clinical neuropsychometrist. I maintain strong interests in these areas and have broadened my scope of interest to include a wide variety of disorders, diseases, and delays.
I have treated clients in many settings including acute care, long term care, inpatient, outpatient, and schools. I treat a variety of different impairments including speech, language, literacy, and cognition. In pediatrics, I have worked with students with hearing impairments, dyslexia, Autism, Down syndrome, language delays, and speech sound disorders.
Together we build bridges for communication and connection with others, from the individual sounds that make up words, to the organization of those words to communicate complex thoughts.
